October 3rd, Saturday – Ride for Gaza: Get ready for Saturday, October 3! Our next Palestine solidarity ride and fundraiser is starting and ending at Earth’s Refillery Coop at 1pm. All wheels are welcome 🚲🧑🦽🛹🛴🧑🦼
More details about the ride to come in the next week.
Since 2023, escalated Israeli violence has resulted in at least 75,000 known deaths (about 1 out of 33 people in Gaza). Palestinians in occupied Gaza are still confronting genocidal conditions imposed by Israel despite a declared ceasefire in October 2025. Essential and nutritious food items necessary for a balanced diet are often unavailable due to Israel blocking these items from entering Gaza – only 35% of aid trucks have been allowed into Gaza after the ceasefire.
We hope you will join our ride in support of an end to the genocide and occupation. We are raising funds for YEG4GAZA to support mutual aid work directly benefiting Palestinians in Edmonton with families in Gaza and Egypt.
Our ride is inspired by the Gaza Sunbirds who compete internationally in para-cycling events and provide direct mutual aid in Gaza to displaced families seeking emergency supplies. The Gaza Sunbirds have mobilized many grassroots, community groups to organize solidarity rides on their streets which call for the end of Israel’s occupation of Palestine.”
