CO2 pipelines are a dangerous, untested technology that would put our communities at risk. In response, a crew of us formed No CO2 Pipelines Alberta as a grassroots group of concerned landowners, farmers, and Indigenous communities organizing to stop the Oil Sands Alliance from constructing a CO₂ pipeline in our backyards.
Later this month, Premier Danielle Smith and industry leaders are gathering for their annual Carbon Capture Canada summit. Since tickets are prohibitively expensive ($2500 per person), we decided we’d bring our message to them directly.”
