August 10th, Monday – Protest: All Out For Our Truth Tellers: “CBC, CTV, Global News, CNN, the list goes on and on. Our Western media is bloodstained and has done irreversible damage to Palestinians and to the truth.
They’ve thrown their Palestinian colleagues under the bus as they refuse to acknowledge the hundreds of journalists killed by “Israel.”
Their selective reporting, their both-side-ism of a genocide, their censorship and repression in and out of the newsroom has played an enormous part in allowing this genocide to start and continue.
Internal sources, corroborated by many past CBC reporters, told us that the rule in CBC newsrooms is that “Palestine” cannot be used in reporting unless quoted because “it doesn’t officially exist.”
This is complicity. This is erasure. This is genocide.
Join us on Monday to honour our martyrs and proudly take on the mission they’ve entrusted to us.”
