July 11th – 13th – Growing Resilience Together: An Ecogrief Retreat: “”Growing Resilience Together – An Ecogrief Retreat” is an adult-only opportunity to acknowledge the emotional depths of our eco-grief. There will be time to spend with yourself, to share with others in a safe communally held space, to be with what is – fully – in these times of converging crises and uncertainty. Lay facilitators Melanie Hoffman (GGN Flow facilitator), Chris Peet, and Nathan Binnema, will create a container for you to explore and experience our full range of feeling and expression, and host activities based in the work of How to Live in a Chaotic Climate, the Work that Reconnects, and other rituals. Expect opportunities to laugh, cry, relax, open up, nourish, and connect with yourself and nature.”

July 12th, Saturday – Prisoners of Poverty: “Join us as we protest against the AISH changes including the introduction of ADAP and the $200 federal benefit clawback. Join us if you too feel under attack. Join us because once we are gone, there is a new target. Join us because we all deserve an accessible and affordable life.”
Bring your protest signs.
Bring a chair to sit, a parasol for the sun (or umbrella for the rain), and any other essentials you may need.

July 13th, Sunday – Human Presence for Palestine:

July 17th, Wednesday – No Queens Day: A Rally to Oust Danielle Smith: One June 14th, over 12 million people took to the streets in the USA to host a No Kings Day rally in opposition to the Trump regime. Someone is floating the idea to host cross Alberta actions to show our opposition to the Danielle Smith regime – No Queens Day.
No other details as of yet. I am unsure why it is proposed to be on a Wednesday. Stay tuned. I have seen another post where a No Queens rally is being planned for Edmonton for August 14th to coincide with a town hall where Danielle Smith will be in attendance – Michael
July 17th, Wednesday – Apartment and Condo Waste Collection is Changing: “Waste from most apartments, condos, row houses and other multi-unit buildings in Edmonton is collected in large, shared on-site garbage and recycling bins.”
