March 7th, Saturday Reject the US-Zionist War Machine: “🚨DEMAND THAT THE CANADIAN GOVERNMENT CONDEMN THE ILLEGAL US-ZIONIST WAR ON IRAN
📍 Legislature Building 📅 Saturday, March 7th — 2:00 PM
In the early hours of Saturday morning, Carney announced full support for US-Zionist aggression on Iran — attacks that killed over 130 Iranian schoolgirls in the first few hours alone.
Earlier this week, Carney himself admitted that this war is in violation of international law. Now he’s saying Canada “cannot rule out” participating in the war.
Which is it, Carney? Condemn or support?
We demand that our government join the growing number of nations CONDEMNING this act of aggression by the Zionist entity— not supporting it. Not funding it. Not participating in it.
✊ Bring your signs!
🥫 Please bring non-perishable food items. We will be collecting donations to
support the foodbank”

March 8th, Sunday – International Women’s Day: “#InternationalWomensDay isn’t just about women. It’s also about the girls who will lead next ✨️.

March 8th, Sunday International Women’s Day Dinner and Discussion: “We will enjoy a delicious catered meal, following appis and a cash bar. Reserve today! No one turned away for lack of funds.
International Women’s Day (IWD), March 8th, was established 115 years ago and celebrated around the world. IWD represents and celebrates the fight of women to eliminate all forms of discrimination, oppression and violence, and to decide all matters which affect our lives, including matters of war and peace.
We celebrate the central role which women have played in all the decisive struggles of the day. We celebrate all the women in Canada and the world who are fighting for their rights, their dignity, and a future where all human beings can thrive. We celebrate that the oligarchs and the governments which serve them have failed in their aim to crush the resistance movements everyone. Resistance rising!
Women have played a leading role this year in battles for their rights as workers, for health care and education, for housing and food security, and everything needed for women and all humans to live in dignity and security. Speakers from the different sectors of the economy and society will inform to us about their work, their difficulties and successes, and what they have learned in the course of their struggles as to what is needed to strengthen our resistance movement. We will hear from women fighting for their rights as workers, for the rights of migrant workers, refugees and international students, for Indigenous rights, for the rights of the Palestinian people, climate activists and more.
Around the world extreme violence is being used to try and bring to their knees all who are fighting for freedom, genuine democracy and peace and the right to follow their own independent course. State-organized attacks are taking place against the migrant workers, refugees and international students who came to Canada with promises of a bright future and are now being blamed for all the problems of society.
We stand with the women and people of Cuba, of Palestine, of Venezuela, Sudan, Lebanon, Iran, and all who are fighting the U.S. imperialist monster and say we are all one – one struggle, one humanity!
We look forward to hearing everyone’s views and sharing a delicious meal together! Hosted by Women for Rights and Empowerment. Our annual IWD banquet has become a treasured event where we inform each other, celebrate our resistance, strengthen our commitment to be there for each other, and affirm our claims as women to decide all matters which affect our lives”

March 15th, Sunday – International Day Against Police Brutality: We will screen a documentary “No Visible Trauma”.
“In the midst of a global uprising against police brutality and systemic racism, No Visible Trauma examines a deeply troubled police department and reveals the devastating consequences of unchecked police brutality. Despite its relatively low crime rates, recent years have seen the Calgary Police Service shoot and kill more people than officers in any other Canadian city, and more than either the New York or Chicago police departments in 2018. Five years in the making, the film unravels the intertwined stories of three individuals who were the victims of extreme violence at the hands of police officers. From the kidnapping and beating of a young immigrant from Ghana, to the fatal shooting of an unarmed man during a “wellness check”, the film exposes a criminal justice system that fails to hold police officers accountable for their actions.”
The format is that people are invited to attend these free screenings, which will start at 7.00pm.
After the screening, we will discuss what we watched, how it affected you, and what might you do with the information and emotions you gained about this subject. We intend to have people from our community who are intimately involved in this issue.

March 18th, Wednesday – Creative Strategies to Resist Authoritarianism: “Authoritarianism is on the rise globally — AND so is our power to push back. Artists and cultural workers play a pivotal role in successful people-powered movements, shaping what’s possible through story, symbol, and song and moving/inspiring people to courageous action.
Built by and for cultural workers, this training offers insight and connection to meet this moment with strategy, courage, and creativity. Together, we’ll unpack how mass noncooperation can block authoritarian power, learn from global resistance efforts, and imagine how our craft can power collective action. We’ll also take a strategic look at key moments for U.S.-based movement-building in 2026—World Cup, Bicentennial, and Midterm Elections—and consider how artists and cultural organizers can most effectively align with movement priorities.
Whatever your creative medium or path, you’re part of a vital cultural frontline. Let’s grow our power, refuse compliance, and make culture that blocks, bridges and builds.
This training is co-hosted by Beautiful Trouble and US Dept of Arts and Culture. Please note that we are hoping to provide any needed language interpretation, but we may not be able to do so for all requested languages.”

Every time the Trump administration escalates its violent attacks on everyday people and tries to take our freedoms, the No Kings movement grows stronger. The way we say things can be true and lies at the same time.
There is a subtle manipulation of all media to skew things in favour of one side over the other.
Media need to be a lot bette.
