We are seeking donations such as wild meat, veggies for soups, drinks, winter clothing and more. Please contact me by inbox if you can donate any of the above items. We are also needing volunteers to come out and help either cook, serve or clean-up. Best way to contact me is through INBOX or Messenger. Get ready to pedal through the snow and conquer Winter Bike to Work Day with a hot cup of coffee waiting for you along the way!
Winter Bike to Work Day is a celebration of people who bike in Edmonton — even in winter! On Friday, February 13,during your commute (see times and locations below), five elected councillors who represent downtown-adjacent wards will host pop-up pit stops along key winter bike routes. These spots will offer warm drinks, local treats, friendly faces, and real encouragement for winter commuting.
Whether you bike every day, sometimes, or are curious about winter biking — this is a chance to connect with neighbours, talk with your local councillor, and celebrate winter riders in our city.
This event isn’t a formal rally or march — it’s low-key, cheerful, and about doing what many Edmontonians already do every snow day: ride your bike to work.”

February 17th, Tuesday – Thoughtful Tuesday: The Invisible Doctrine: Thoughtful Tuesday is a free weekly series of screenings being held at Earth’s Refillery Coop.
“An extraordinary kinetically charged visually stunning documentary savagely deconstructing neoliberalism.
Asking the question: “Neoliberalism: do you know what it is?” – Monbiot deconstructs the roots, secretive propagation and deep impact of a doctrine that has played a profound role in transforming our economics, politics, environment, and even how we’ve come to view ourselves – emphasizing competition as the defining characteristic of human relations, and converting us from citizens to consumers in the process. Thanks to neoliberalism, we find ourselves more atomized and lonely than ever.
Yet few of us fully understand – let alone can begin to articulate – what neoliberalism actually IS.”
The format is that people are invited to attend these free screenigns which will start at 6:30pm. The cafe will be open if you would like to grab a beverage, treat or a meal.
After the screening, we will discuss what we watched, how it affected you, and what might you do with the information and emotions you gained about this subject.
Time: 6:30pm
